Description	It belongs to family fabaceae/ sub-family mimosacae. Originated in tropical central and south americamimosa pudica gets its name from the way it moves! It’s derived from the greek word for “mime” and the latin word for “bashful,” in reference to the way the leaves react light and touch as if the plant has the consciousness to be shy and physically retract when upset..Creeping annual or perennial weed, yet can grow to 15 cm up to 45 cm tall. Flowers are pink or purple in colour and are the shape of fluffy balls. Fern like leaves close up and droop when touched and at night. Seeds in pods split into single seeded segments bearing bristles. Prickly stem becomes creeping/trailing with age and can produce a dense cover.Sensitive plants need plenty of bright light so set your new plant baby in a sunny window that receives some direct sunlight but not all day long!
