Description | Yellow Bamboo (also known as Bambusa Vulgaris) are evergreen large showy bamboo, native originated to China and Japan. Distinct by arching golden-yellow canes with randomly marked broad green stripes. Treasured with narrow lance-shaped foliage that grows up to 20cm, they are widely cultivated as Ornamental bamboo, and the whole bamboo could reach to the height of 12-18m. And in addition to attractive appearance, Bambusa Vulgaris (Yellow Bamboo) are disease tolerant and could easily be propagated by division or proper cutting method. They do get resilient durability that makes them relevant ornamental plants for hedge and privacy screens. Bambusa Vulgaris (Yellow Bamboo) perform well in presence of full sunlight to partial shade. Water them thoroughly during summer season, but reduce it at rainy or in winter season. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral and also moist. Ideally the temperature around them must be above 18 degree Celsius to sight their healthy growth. In terms of feeding, use any organic fertilizers to strengthen their growth. |
