Ricasoliana is a tender, twining, evergreen climber, bushier with age, with pinnate leaves divided into ovate or lance-shaped, toothed, pointed, dark green leaflets and loose, terminal panicles of trumpet-shaped, veined, pink flowers from july to october.The climbers produce loculicidal capsules.The climbers reach heights of 3 to 5 metres.Pink trumpet vine is native to southern africa.The climbers prefer a half-shady situation on moist soil. The substrate should be sandy loam and comparatively rich. The plants tolerate temperatures only above at least 1°c.Pink trumpet vine plants are suited for cultivation in a cold house or temperate house, growing the plants outdoors is only possible in warm climates.Cut back side shoots late in winter down to 3 to 4 buds within permanent framework.Water moderately in summer.
