Mature height varies from 4 to 12 feet (1 to 3.5 m.) with a span of 3 to 5 feet (91 cm. to 1.5 m.). The bamboo palm plant can also be planted outdoors. palm plants don’t take a great deal of time or energy. Water the palm using room temperature filtered water when the soil surface feels dry. Water the plant until the soil is evenly moist. Don’t over water the palm plant or leave it sitting in water. Check often to be sure that the plant is draining properly. Caring for bamboo palms also involves using a time-release fertilizer during the growing season. Granular fertilizers work best. Repot the bamboo palm once it becomes too large for its present container.
