Description | Lettuce, also known as Lactuca Sativa is a Leafy vegetable. These vegetables have a rich source of Vitamin A, Vitamin K and a moderate source of iron and folate. They are one of the most widely cultivated and consumed vegetables in the world. Their Native is from the Eastern Mediterranean, comes in various colours (mainly green and purple), textures, shapes and sizes. They come in many uses in culinary purposes, in a form of cooked food or salads and numerous cuisines around the world. Lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) thrives in full sunlight to partial shade. Water them enough to keep their soil moist, but not wet. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained, rich with organic contents. To sight their healthy growth, temperature around them must be managed above 25 degree Celsius. And in terms of feeding, use any organic fertilizer and apply them especially during the summer season. |
